Mephistopheles: Don't ask, I wouldnt know where to start. Overs thats run about 5.5 balls (as soon as the last ball is hit toward the fielder, they go to break) ; showing ads till the last possible moment so you get to see little or no replays/stats/highlights ; a 'panel' that progressively disappears through the game (they often start with 3 panelists in the studio, mid innings there are 2 and at the end there's one).... I could go one, but basically the actual live match experience is amazingly frustrating.
Okay, now I feel your pain. I've never watched Mandira Bedi before. Now that I have seen her (thanks to You-Tube)...Charu Sharma and Mandira are twits of the highest order. What the hell is Dean Jones doing on the set? At least one has a choice of not watching the match previews...
Shakester, its at moments like this, that I'm glad I'm not back in India watching the feed. In some ways the broadband streaming experience is much better - hardly any ads! (some, but its not too bad).
BTW, thanks for the link to the blog (its "eye on cricket", not "eye on the game" - I know, I know its easy to think cricket is "the game" :)) (I've linked to yours as well).

well, I'm not in India but I still have to suffer those imbeciles.
will change the link. I have the (irritating?) habit of giving my own names to the links I put up, mostly.
